Interesting Fact: A country of dense forests and mangrove swamps whose people enjoy high subsidies and pay no taxes, Brunei is highly dependent on imports. Despite its immense wealth, most of the country outside the capital remains undeveloped and unexploited. Governed by the longest serving family monarchy in the world and financially secure because of its oil and gas resources, Brunei is also called "The Abode of Peace". In all the homes and business offices in Brunei, three portraits hang on the wall. One is of the Sultan and the other two are the current wives.
