So Sarah Palin Goes to India...
No, that was not the first line of a joke. The former US Vice Presidential candidate is heading to India. The subject itself already makes for great comic material, but nothing beats her own words.
Next week, Sarah Palin will make the keynote address at the India Today Conclave 2011, a conference also featuring prominent politicians like the Indian prime minister, Nobel Laureate Mohammed El-Baradei and international authors like feminist Germaine Greer.
Speculation has been rife as to whether she is planning to run in the 2012 US presidential elections, and if this is a bid to boost her foreign policy credentials.
After all, Palin had never travelled out of the US before 2006.
("I'm not one of those who maybe come from a background of, you know, kids who perhaps graduated college and their parents get them a passport and a backpack and say, 'Go off and travel the world.' Noooo. I worked all my life. In fact, I usually had two jobs all my life, until I had kids. ... I was not part of, I guess, that culture.")
In honor of Palin’s upcoming India trip, Yeh Hai Life posted this clip from her interview with the conservative US Fox News network.
Palin speaks on US relations with the Indian Subcontiment, her simple solution for the India-Pakistan conflict, and what - according to her – is “the last thing we need right now”.
