The exodus of refugees is the Pakistan's largest since the Partition in 1947.
Jessica Hilltout [Amen - Grassroots Football]
Amen shines a light on all those in the shadows of the World Cup, far away from the big stadiums and the corporate carnival-nature of the event. It expresses football in its purest form, showing people with simple needs and huge hearts, embracing Africa and everything that makes it unique.
Lung Liu [Cafe Om]

Suthep Kritsanavarin [Stateless Rohingya... Running on Empty]
Rohingya refugee men show the scars of brutal beatings endured by the Burmese navy when the boat they were fleeing on was stopped in the Andaman Sea off of Myanmar’s west coast. After two weeks under arrest, the Burmese Navy released their boat, pointing out the direction Thailand with the warning that they would be killed if they returned. Thai authorities arrested this group of 78 Rohingya refugees when their boat washed up on the southern shores of Thailand. They have languished in an overcrowded Immigration jail in Bangkok for more than a year. Unconfirmed reports of several deaths said several of the 78 died in detention due to untreated health conditions. The Thai government has been slow in forming a policy on the Rohingya refugees who continue to pour into their borders while the Myanmar government refuses to take them back and does not recognize them as citizens.
Veejay Villafranca / Asia Motion [Faith Above Fate]
The Philippines has the biggest Catholic population in the Far East. In the year 2000, there were an estimated 45,000 religious sects registered as church congregations in the country.
